ATLAS Guidelines ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address. This is managed through Clerk, our authentication provider. We do not store your password directly — Clerk handles all authentication securely.

Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including which flashcard decks you study, how you answer individual cards (correct, review again, incorrect, or skipped), and your progress through decks. This data is used solely to provide the progress-tracking features of the Service.

Analytics data: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized information about how visitors use the Service, including pages visited, time spent, device type, and geographic region (country/city level). This data does not identify you personally.

Guest users: If you use the Service without creating an account, your flashcard progress is stored only in your browser's session memory and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. It is deleted when you close your browser tab.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide and maintain the Service, save and display your flashcard progress across sessions, improve the quality and content of the Service, respond to your questions or feedback sent to ATLASguidelines@gmail.com, and understand how the Service is being used in order to improve it. We do not use your information for advertising purposes. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ATLAS Guidelines:

Clerk (clerk.com) — handles user authentication and account management. Your email address is stored with Clerk. Their privacy policy is available at clerk.com/privacy.

Supabase (supabase.com) — stores your flashcard progress data in a secure database. Their privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.

Google Analytics (google.com/analytics) — provides anonymized website analytics. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Vercel (vercel.com) — hosts and serves the website. Their privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Each of these services has its own privacy practices and we encourage you to review their respective policies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and progress data for as long as your account is active. If you would like your data deleted, please contact us at ATLASguidelines@gmail.com and we will delete your account and associated progress data within 30 days.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, including using encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database storage through Supabase, and industry-standard authentication practices through Clerk. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

ATLAS Guidelines is intended for use by medical professionals and students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at ATLASguidelines@gmail.com.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and associated data, and opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. 9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
